    Introduction:


Cyclone is a leading facility for modifications, repair and depot level maintenance for helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft for the Israeli Air Force and other customers around the world. Being an Israeli CAA (ICAA) and Bell Helicopter Textron (BHT) Approved Service Station, a major portion of Cyclone's business activities include fixed-wing and helicopter maintenance, systems installation, upgrades and depot level operations for helicopters.

Power By Hour" (PBH)

Cyclone also provides Fleet Operation Services such as "Power By Hour" (PBH) and "Private Finance Initiative" (PFI) programs, Repair/Upgrade Activities, Systems Integration, Aircraft Modifications and Fleet Operation. Cyclone integrates a variety of advanced systems on fixed and rotary-wing aircraft to upgrade capabilities and keep them flying longer and smarter. A front-to-back service, from preliminary design to installation and testing, Cyclone’s upgrade programs enhance aircraft economy and productivity.


Systems Integration
 

Systems being developed today in almost all industries are increasingly large and complex, involving the integration of elements from more than one technology: electronic, electrical, mechanical, structural and  information technology (IT).

The IT element in these systems is continually growing leading to increased interdependence between the systems' elements and creation of dynamics that were not a factor in previous generation systems. System performance  has become dependent on the effectiveness with which the different elements are integrated to provide the properties of the system as a whole.

Aircraft Modifications

Cyclone has accumulated considerable experience in the application of the latest aerospace technologies regarding aircraft modifications. The use of system engineering disciplines for aircraft modification programs includes sophisticated management systems, manufacturing tools, equipment and processes. Mastery of these system engineering practices are necessary to integrate all production aspects of highly complex aerospace systems.

Services - Helicopter Maintenance & Upgrades

Cyclone is a leading facility for modifications, repair and depot level maintenance for helicopters for the Israeli Air Force, the Israeli Police Force and other customers. Being an Israeli CAA (ICAA) and Bell Helicopter Textron (BHT) Approved Service Station, Cyclone performs  maintenance, systems installation, upgrades and depot level operations for a wide range of military and commercial helicopters.

Cyclone’s Helicopter service, maintenance and upgrade projects encompass:

 

·         All levels of aircraft maintenance operations.

·         Helicopter upgrade and major modifications.

·         Helicopter crash repairs.

·         Helicopter SRR programs.

·         Survey and repair as required.

These can be performed at our facilities or at the customer’s site and can include:

·         Establishment of maintenance capability in customer’s country.

·         Helicopter refurbishment & delivery.

·         Full  ILS  package (logistics, training & technical representation).

Cyclone's dedicated engineers and technicians have accumulated extensive work experience, translating into thousands of man-hours in helicopter and fixed-wing A/C maintenance, crash repairs, upgrades and modifications, enabling them to address any requirement for helicopter maintenance or upgrade. Cyclone’s Test Pilots, licensed by the ICAA and the IAF/IMOD have the experience of thousands of flight hours. The combination of highly skilled engineers, technicians and experienced professional pilots supports the customer receiving the repaired/modified helicopter in the best condition.


Cyclone supports various helicopter platforms and performs the following activities:

·         Aircraft disassembling.

·         Paint stripping - chemical & mechanical.

·         Airframe damages evaluation.

·         Anti-corrosion treatment.

·         Airframe structural repairs.

·         Replacement of all expired Life-Limited components as per T.M.

·         Mechanical, electrical and avionics systems inspections, damage evaluation and repairs.

·         Aircraft reassembling and systems rigging.

·         Painting, including anti-corrosion treatment.

·         Weight & Balance.

·         Acceptance test flight.
