Flight Academy FBH & PFI

Cyclone is performing the Israel Air Force (IAF) Flight Academy Training Aircraft Private Finance Initiative (PFI) program, which includes the following:

Cyclone was chosen by the Israeli Police Forces to provide a Power by Hour (PBH) program for its squadron.

The program includes:

·         Operation of the Israeli Police helicopter fleet

·         Thousands flight hours  per year.

·         Complete service package and responsibility for maintenance and logistics.

Cyclone’s "SNUNIT" program provides GROB-120A fleet operation for the IAF Flight Academy. This Private Finance Initiative (PFI) program differs from our Power By Hour (PBH) programs in that under the PFI program Cyclone is also the aircraft owner. Cyclone was awarded this multi-year contract in 2002.

A fleet of  GROB-120  aircraft were purchased and introduced to the IAF flight academy, providing thousands flight hours per year, with at least 90% aircraft availability performance. 

This Private Finance Initiative (PFI) program includes the following:

·         IAF Flight Academy Training Aircraft.

·         Aircraft configuration and purchasing

·        GROB  120AI self owned fleet

·         Complete ILS package implementation.

·         Performance of all maintenance activities including test flights.

·        Special systems integration (DVR).

·         Aircraft operation and maintenance under ICAA regulations.

·         Military interface (IAF requirements).

·         Home base program at IAF air base.
